Light is beautiful….especially when it contrasts with dark clouds and rain. It is also wonderful to me because I know that in the midst of the rain clouds, rainbows are hiding, about to show off their glorious, technicolor majesty.
Using the influence of television commercials made in the 80's and 90's, this is my version of the famous Italian liqueur, Disaronno.

Sometimes any excuse will do to make a little, short film. Lately, I have been baking a lot and trying out different ideas and recipes for making my treats. But aside from the desire to bake and cook, which in itself is a creative pursuit, I have also had the itch to make more films and to try out different things visually with sound, light and my camera. Also, doing exercises like this has taught me the importance of being disciplined and not being too attached to a shot, or shots for the sake of getting each short into the sixty-second timeframe.
I have always wanted to make a cooking/baking type video and was always looking for opportunities to do so. Since my wife is great at making Challah, we decided to just jump into it and create a video!
Celebrating the Jewish feast of Hanukkah in December 2020. This was the sixth day of the celebration that lasts for eight days.
Living in North Vancouver, we don't often get snow like in other parts of Canada during the winter months. So when it does come it often feels magical. This year the snowfall happened to fall on the Valentines Day weekend, making it all the more special.
